Every girl wants to see if blondes really do have more fun.. After 28 years of never dying my hair I wanted to see if this was true.
Growing up I was told I should never dye my hair as people would pay lots of money to get it the same colour as mine, naturally I had thick, long auburn red hair.
So I listened and held off doing anything to it until….One day I walked into my mums house, my sister was putting a colour through my mums hair and I jokingly said, do mine next I want to go blonde. Expecting them to turn around and say NO WAY! They responded YES! That will look amazing!!!
So before chickening out of it I jumped in the seat and let my sister start the process of bleaching my hair..
We ended up doing two rounds of bleach on my hair before putting a toner through as my hair was so stubborn and wanted to stay that beautiful yellow colour.. YUCK!
At first I loved the change! Long, thick blonde hair that I had always dreamed of. Little did I know, the up keep and maintenance of the white blonde was going to be a nightmare!
Every time I did my roots I would put two lots of bleach through it. Over time this completely ruined any life that was left in my hair.
I decided to start seeing a hair dresser and get foils put in rather than a scalp bleach home job. I was hoping this would help my hair grow out and not be as harsh.
Unfortunately With how fragile and weak my hair was after all the bleach, it has continued to snap and thin out. I am now left with a mullet type hairstyle…😭
I’ve decided now is the time to get some good hair growth products and say goodbye to any bleach for a while.
Follow my journey of getting
long, luscious, healthy hair again. I will be using different products and documenting what is working for me 💇🏼♀️💁🏼♀️
